Rumah Sehat Madani is currently dependant on the generosity of our donors. As much as we appreciate that support, we'd like to be able to sustain our activities without it one day. In the long-term we'd also like to be able to support the activities our partner clinic Layanan Kesehatan Madani.
We plan to do that by running part of our organisation as a profitable business, providing prenatal, birthing and other services to those mothers and families who can afford to pay for them. We believe that disadvantaged families are not the only ones in Bali interested in better quality, more compassionate maternal care. By setting up a business unit we can provide for those more fortunate families - locals, expatriates and visitors - while also supporting our core work with disadvantaged families.
The customers of our business unit might enjoy a few luxuries that we cannot offer the non-paying customers, but the quality of medical care will be exactly the same. The business unit will be entirely owned and controlled by RSM and 100% of the profits will be used to further RSM's philanthropic goals.
