Rumah Sehat Madani (RSM) currently operates out of a two-room clinic in West Denpasar. We are open for two half-day sessions per week for pre-natal and general healthcare.
Currently our clients birth at Yayasan Bumi Sehat, in Ubud, with an RSM midwife in attendance. We currently welcome about one newborn baby into the world per week. Since we first opened our doors in May this year, more-and-more expectant mothers have been coming to see us.
Our current operation is helping us to build trust and awareness in the community and giving us valuable experience that will help us to implement our larger goals more effectively.
When our new clinic is built we will have our own birthing facilities open 24-hours, seven days a week. We will also be open for general and prenatal healthcare for five and a half days per week.
Prenatal care
Expectant mothers tend to visit us about twelve to 15 times during their pregnancy, with visits becoming more frequent as their expected birthing time approaches. During these visits we do a general health check for mother and child; offer vitamin and iron supplements to assist the development of the baby and insure that the mother is healthy and ready to give birth; and offer advice and information on diet, breast feeding, the birth process and how to move around when heavily pregnant.
We aim to have mothers healthy, prepared and informed when they give birth. This improves outcomes for both mothers and babies.
